For the minutes for the Townwide Capital Planning Committee, Meghana, is it just Tom and I that vote on them or does everybody vote on it?

I think it would be the two of you. Beth raised an interesting point to me that we would just I think we would the board would accept the minutes rather than approve if it for the board vote would just accept them rather than approve because it wasn't a full board meeting.

Okay. Okay. Good morning, everybody. Call to order. the Select Board meeting of July 1st, 2026 on the Zoom platform. Here from the Select Board are Vice Chair Tom Ulfelder, Secretary Coletto Frank, Beth Sullivan Woods, and Kenny Largess. and myself, Marjorie Freiman, our Executive Director, Megan Jopp, Assistant Executive Director, Corey Testa, Wellesley Library, it might be Director Jamie Jergeson, and Chair Marla Robinson, and DPW Director Dave Cohen.

And Marjorie Gepizano-Brown is going to be joining us as well.

Okay. Oh, great. Okay. We are being recorded and the meeting can be seen later on Wellesleymedia.org, Comcast Channel 8, and Verizon Channel 40. I see Jeff's coming. Okay.

Although I may have to ask Dave and Jeff to jump off because we're going to do the library first and executive session and then jump back on.

Okay. Good morning, Jeff. Okay I don't see anybody for citizen speak so we can move on to our first agenda item which is to vote Campana funds for summer interns at the COA.

So we received a request from Judy Gertler. In years past, they have worked with the Green Shirts and the Youth Commission. But given the ongoing need, they've asked to use Campana funds to hire eight interns for nine weeks commencing next week at $15 an hour. The request from the Campana Fund is $4,725 to fund that program.

And that is within the scope of the Campana intended use of the funds.

Yes, the intended use of the funds is for programs and enhancements to the Council on Aging.

OK, are there any questions or comments? Only what are that many interns going to be doing?

Go ahead, Collette.

They're going to be doing a lot of things, Tom. They're going to be assisting taking patrons to shopping trips. They'll be assisting with activities at the Council on Aging. It's basically anything. Volunteers... Coordination is anything that they're going to help with over the summer. Some of the volunteers are a bit late, so they will be there to fill in and pitch help and anything.

Thank you. So this is not an ongoing project. year-round need. It's just because volunteers are fewer during the summer. Is that right, Colette?

A little bit of that, but it's also intergenerational programming for the Council on Aging, so it does fill that role as well.

Right. So I'm just wondering, should Tom and I vote aye on the minutes and then as a separate motion, you know, have the board accept them and dissolve it? Is that the way it goes? Or Tom and I vote aye and everybody else votes accept? Is that?

I think we can do it either way. We didn't post for the town-wide capital planning committee. committee, interview subcommittee.

Okay. So move to accept the minutes of the term wide capital planning committee interview subcommittee and to dissolve the subcommittee.

And I vote aye as well. All right, we are now going to be moving into executive session and the board will return to open session for the sole purpose of adjourning the meeting. I request a motion to enter into executive session to conduct strategy with respect to negotiations with the library, DPW, custodians, and patrolman's association.

So move to enter executive session under Mass General Law Chapter 30A, Subsection 21A, Exemption Number 3, to conduct strategy with respect to negotiations with the AFSCME, Council 93. Local 429, Custodians Union, AFSCME, Council 93, Local 335, Production Unit, DPW, AFSME, Council 93, Local 335 Supervisors Unit, DPW, Wellesley Free Library Staff Association and Wellesley Free Library Supervisors Association and Wellesley Police Patrolmen's Association and to invite Megan Jop, Corey Testa, Dolores Hamilton, Joe McDonough, Jamie Jergensen, Marla Robinson, Jeff Anzano-Brown and Dave Cohen to the meeting. Following the close of executive session, the board will return to open session for the sole purpose of adjourning the meeting.
