City Council - City Clerk Preliminary Screening Committee

Good morning, everyone. I'm calling today's meeting of the city clerk's preliminary screening committee to order. The purpose of today's meeting is for the committee to meet and go into executive session to consider applicants for the position of the city clerk by a preliminary screening committee. We are going into executive session because by doing so in open session would have a detrimental effect in obtaining qualified applicants. The committee will not be returning to open session once executive session is adjourned. Our first order of business is to call the role of the members present that are serving on the committee. So I will turn this over to the assistant clerk to call the role.

Pursuant to Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025 adopted by the Massachusetts General Court and approved by the governor, the city is authorized to use remote participation in meetings of the Cambridge City Council and its committees. Please note that the city of Cambridge audio and video records our meetings and makes it available to the public for future viewing. In addition, please be aware, third parties may also be audio and video recording these meetings. For this particular session now and going into the executive session, there will be no public comment. To watch this very brief portion of the meeting, please tune into channel 22 or visit the open meeting portal on the city's website.
